Elevate Christian Academy upholds and teaches learners according to the beliefs held by Christians through history. Specifically, we believe the following:
We affirm a Biblical philosophy of life that places Christ at the centre of all reality. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe in the Trinity; one God eternally existent in three Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, Mark 1:9-12, John 10:30).
We believe that God created humanity by a direct act, and in His image with dignity, value, and worth. We believe that humanity, although created good, yielded to temptation through wilful disobedience, becoming fallen, sinful, separated from God, and incurring physical and spiritual death (Genesis 1:1-27, 2:17, 3:6, Romans 5:12-14).
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God (John 10:33), in His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35), in His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:26), in His miracles during His earthly ministry (John 2:11), in His atoning death through His shed Blood (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), in His Bodily resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the Right Hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and in His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).
We believe that God provides great grace in His redemptive plan. Though we are sinful, we can be forgiven in His sight, receiving salvation through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ (Luke 13:3, John 3:16-19, Romans 10:9).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, growing in holiness and maturing in faith (Romans 8:13-14, Romans 12:1-2, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. We believe in the reality of Heaven and Hell (John 5:21, 28 29).
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ (John 17:21-23, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28).
ECA Values
We believe in training the individual for their unique calling and destiny in God. Ephesians 1:4-5
To provide each individual learner with a Biblical, Spirit-filled education that will give them a solid foundation for the rest of their lives.
To train up a child in the way he should go so that when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
To allow each learner the opportunity to be developed at all levels:
Spiritually
Academically
Emotionally
Physically
Socially
We believe in family as a foundation in individual’s lives, the life of the church and society at large. We promote quality family time and encourage each learner to complete their goals in the allocated time at school, thus not having work to complete at home.
We believe in developing and rewarding good character as a greater priority than talent – emphasis on honesty, integrity and Biblical character.
We believe in the active power of the whole Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
We value team and believe that all learners should learn how to function as part of a team; this interaction must be with both their immediate age group, as well as age groups younger or older than the learner and thus a group dynamic will be fostered throughout the learner’s education.
We believe that a secure, loving and nurturing environment is vital for child development, both at home and at school.
We believe that parents are the most important people in the development of their child and that God has given a clear mandate for the training of children to fathers and mothers. Ephesians 6:4; Proverbs 1:8.
We believe that the foundation years of a child’s life are the most important for training and thus a child must be trained according to the pattern of the Word of God rather than the pattern of the world.
We believe that Jesus is coming back for a ‘bride without spot or blemish’ and that our children must be guided in holiness, righteousness and truth in order for them to be a part of that glorious day.
